STUDENT APPLICATION

Heroes' Alliance is currently accepting applications for the

2024-25 cohort. Students must meet the following requirements:

• Be a 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th grade student enrolled in one of our partner schools as of Fall 2024
• Have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
• Have a current interest in gaining additional exposure to STEAM, specifically engineering and technology fields
• Be willing to make a commitment to attend all sessions of the program and be a productive member of the center

Students must submit all of the following in order to receive consideration for the program:

• Completed Application
• Copy of, up-to-date, Middle/High School Transcript
• Typed Letter of Recommendation from a teacher, counselor, or school administrator
• An essay of 200 words or less explaining why you want to participate in the program

The Genius Within Cooperative Learning Center is located inside of Dunamis Outreach Ministries, 13220 Greenfield Rd. Detroit, MI 48227. 

The program starts October 1, 2024. Students will meet twice per week on either Mondays through Thursdays for thirty weeks from 4:00pm - 6:30pm

Completed application packets are now being accepted on a rolling basis until all spots have been filled.

Students will be notified by email of their status within two weeks of the application closing date.

There will be a mandatory parent meeting in September for all accepted students.
