ABOUT US
Heroes’ Alliance was founded in 2009 by the late Reginald M. Lane who established the organization in response to the educational and residential climates existing in the city of Detroit at that time. There were mounting statistics pointing to a failing school structure, an apparent youth crisis, and the never-ending decay of once thriving neighborhoods. Reginald was determined to create a platform that provided opportunities and access to urban youth that they were not often afforded. He set out to develop a strategy to resource parents in becoming their children’s biggest advocate, especially within the educational arena. He understood the necessity of creating authentic economic opportunities for residents to rebuild their neighborhoods.
Heroes’ Alliance is committed to the families and communities of urban areas across the nation, with programming focusing on the three main themes of resourcing parents, empowering youth, and building communities.

OUR DNA
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all people are created equal, that we were endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of UNITY.
It is the mission of Heroes’ Alliance to serve as authentic heroes in the lives of our children, both biological and communal, and to cultivate an atmosphere of individual and relational growth. As members of Heroes’ Alliance, we have committed ourselves to being role models that not only draw our children into our world, but that also actively participate in and influence theirs. It is our endeavor to capture the imagination of our children and cultivate an environment where they can grow spiritually, mentally, emotionally, physically, and socially, fostering creative individuation and helping them to become self-managed, self-motivated, and self-directed.
We provide support to both parent and child through various avenues that encourage a healthy, progressive relationship between the two. Heroes’ Alliance strives to turn the page on an era of under-involved parents and misguided youth, ultimately witnessing the hearts of the parents turn to back to the children, and the hearts of the children to the parents. Our ultimate goal is to restore what has been lost and to unify what has been broken within our urban family structures and our communities as a whole.
Our Vision:
We recognize the truth in the old adage, “It takes a village to raise a child.” It is our vision that the residents of Detroit unite in a meaningful way and begin to capitalize on the power that exists in our unified voice. One person making a stand can easily be silenced. All of us making a stand will be a true force to be reckoned with. We must unlock the power of Us!
